All I do is listen.
Ear to the air, the fog falls lower,
What do you see when it’s all washed away?
Place beyond places,
these soft spirits find me in the forest.
Red berries against a gray sky.
Yellow against green.
Antlered god walking between worlds.
The hallows are upon us
What a pretty thing you are,
creature of the mist.
Halo and Hallow, down the stairs.
These things happen again and again,
Candles in the dark before dawn,
eyes closed to hear what whispers,
Soul cakes in the window with a song for the dead —
